It takes a lot to excite me with computers (remember the 1st Macintosh - I've still got mine)
It is obvious that not only has the Kubuntu team worked to get it right, but KDE4 is something.
I downloaded the HH 8.04 remix (it only took 5.75 hours), held my breath, and booted into the Live CD.
Not only did it boot fine, but it installed without so much as a glitch or question.
The only complaint is "where are all the applications
?" The menu is very sparse considering all of the apps that are loaded.
GIMP/SAME/Open Office/ my HP AIO all installed and ran fine.
I did a complete install and setup in less than an hour. In comparison it took me 3 hours to set up a new drive and install with Windows XP.
If you haven't tried KDE4, it is well worth the effort.
