I think it's safer at this point in time to stick with KDE. I'm not sure what's happening with the gnome people.

Ahhh, what kind of forum have I joined!? You can't be afraid of the roaming gnome, he's great for discounts at hotels, airfares and a lot less scary than the fat guy that was trying to take his place!
