Do you listen to the radio? I HATE the radio. They never play anything I want to hear, and it's too commercialized for someone like me. I like to listen to stuff that's not mainstream, so the radio really isn't for me. I'll listen to a shoutcast station every once in a while, but I really won't touch the radio.

Are you able to use this site with Kubuntu? It didn't work for me. The swf objects didn't launch and when I navigated to a song page and clicked play, nada.

I'm on http://www.pandora.com/ as I type this. I entered 'enya' and it created a radio list for me, which I'm listening to right now. Pretty cool! 8)

Hmm. It's a pay-for-service site. :P That isn't 'bad' and the price ($36/yr) is reasonable, but I'm passing on it.

I've been using Pandora for years, they've never asked for money.. They do have a link to click if you wish to donate. You have to have the flash plugin to use the site.

There is far too much quality free content out there to pay for this, but I would like to figure out why the site wouldn't work for me. Snowhog or Detonate, it your preferences, what app opens swf? For mine it says Shockwave Flash Plug-In.

I've never had a problem using the site with Firefox and the Shockwave Flash 9.0 plugin.

In Konqueror | Settings | Configure Konqueror | Plugins | Netscape Plugins | Plugins I have Use artsdsp to pipe plugin sound to aRts checked and expanding the Netscape Plugins, it shows:

The station in my city that plays rap also plays a bunch of other crap and they only play commercial sellout rap (Soulja Boy, he tries too hard) and they take out good workds

this is really strange to here that you hate the the radio .but I love the radio. I found radio to be more entertaining, easier to carry,and at last but not least more informative .

I started with Everly Bothers and Bobby Vinton and got a station with the stuff.

For me, on this machine, not rocket surgery.
Kubuntu 7.10. Nothing special configured that I know of.

Way cool for this 50'5-60's aging hippie.

'Course I also like Michael Jackson, and up to the present, some of the headbanger stuff, but don't know what it's called. So, go figure.

EDIT: How could I forget to list all the 60's acid-rock? Hendrix et al?
