I am getting sick and tired in making a page that looks good on both FF and IE especially in the table cell alignment, it is more easy to do it right with FF, and I find the latest version 2.2 of openoffice can produce a page looks more similar on both FF and IE, so what is your choice of web editor on Linux ?

Re: What is your favourite web editor
I was a fan of Quanta before I find Kompozer(NVU), now I may go back to it, I find Kompozer has some annoying bugs on table and does not work with frame, also it keep corrupting the title when I edit something else, overall it is not as smart as Quanta and creates a much bigger file than necessary.Do you Yahoo ? No I hiccup only :P

Re: What is your favourite web editor
I use Kompozer simply because I use Firefox, and there is portable version in m$ so I can use it on any PC the way I use at home, the most troubling thing to me is the table cell alignment and font size does not match in both Linux and m$, it seems that Quanta uses simpler tags more common in both OS isn't it ? I will try to get use to it.Do you Yahoo ? No I hiccup only :P

Re: What is your favourite web editor
I'm casting a vote for KATE. I'm not particularly artistic so I try to generate very simple web pages, that will look good without a lot of CSS or table trickery. As a result I tend to write straight HTML "by hand" with a text editor, specifically either KATE or Emacs. Both have syntax highlighting (which helps to find errors) and easy cut-and-paste (which encourages code-reuse). KATE has the advantage of being fully integrated with KDE. Emacs has the advantage that I started using it in the 1980s and I can run it anywhere.

I was too started from writing pain HTML by hand, this save lot of space for my limited hosting space allowance, and I don't know and don't want too much of fancy stuffs at that time, but since I use lot of table to align things up, a graphical editor is much easier for me.Do you Yahoo ? No I hiccup only :P
