Kubuntu 7.04 - See the WOW (Work of Wonder) OS

Thank you Kubuntu Development Team. I installed the new 7.04 Kubuntu Feisty and love some of the new features in it. I did have some trouble with the automatic installer, but got it worked out OK. I used the CD to complete the install after the installer came up with an error. (Sorry I didn't write the error down.) I kept all my partitions the same size they were and only reformatted the / and swap partitions. This allowed me to keep a bunch of previous settings and stuff intact. It didn't take long to get the programs updated that didn't come along for the ride. I have everything back to normal. I am however looking for Adobe Acrobat Reader, which I haven't found in the repositories. I think I remember reading about some type of security flaw in the latest version, so it's probably on hold.

I'm not complaining, but really very happy with this latest release. I have been using Linux since it started in 1991. A lot of changes have been made and refined over the years. Keep up the good work. I left the other OS completely and there's no turning back on this end.

I am however looking for Adobe Acrobat Reader, which I haven't found in the repositories. I think I remember reading about some type of security flaw in the latest version, so it's probably on hold.

Is there a feature in acrobat reader that you absolutely need and that isn't in kpdf (kde's pdf reader)? You might give kpdf a try first.

If you really need acrobat reader, you need to add a 3rd party repository (as you noticed, acroread package isn't available in feisty/multiverse...though it might be added eventually)

Acroread is available through medibuntu, for example, but as always with 3rd party repos, use with caution (usually best to disable the repo after you've installed what you want, so you won't accidentally install unofficial updates for official packages)
