    [System] Blank screen after Standby

    When my computer wakes up from standby i get a blank screen and a frozen mouse pointer

    Is the computer frozen or just the desktop? Try CTRL-ALT-F3 and see if terminal mode loads.If it does, log in and type:

    killall plasmashell && kstart5 plasmashell

    This should restart the desktop. Then put it in standby again. Wait a minute or so, then wake it up. If it's frozen again, CRTL-ALT-F3 again and see if any messages have been added to the terminal. If not, enter:

    sudo dmesg

    And see what messages were generated from the time you tried to wake it up.

      The computer is frozen and only the frozen mouse pointer and a blank screen is visible
