Hello, I recently moved to Kubuntu 24.10 and I'm having trouble getting Ala mixer or Nvidia X server settings to save. I'm using Xorg I've completely remade the Xorg conig file and confirmed that it's being loaded on startup but no settings I've changed are being saved even if I create a profile for them and I have to manually change them every time I boot. Alsa mixer is having a similar issue. After using sudo alsactl store and restarting everything resets and I have to manually change every setting back

Similar problem I also have.
I set default output to "Line Out" on System Settings -> Sound. As soon as I change sound comes from speakers. There is no "Apply" button there.
As I restart computer default output goes to "Headphones" (Front panel even noting is connected). When headphones are connected sound comes from headphones.
Every time I start computer I have to go System settings -> Sound to change output to Line Out.
With mixer volume settings I have no problem.
Thanks for any support.

#to save sound settings between boots, save it to the file shown
sudo alsactl store
/var/lib/alsa/asound.state
#to load this file of values (if it doesn't load automatically after reboot) use
sudo alsactl restore
i was about ready to make a start up script for the restore operation, but then it started working after a recent update.
