24.10, the Oriole, is the best I've seen for years! Like that beautiful bird that gave it its name. I have had Linux on my computers since December 1999, close to 25 years. There have been Good Times and Bad Times. 24.04 was a catastrophe on my about 5 years old Lenovo. Somehow the video software broke, the screen occasionally flickered (I never took the time to try to fix it). Now not only is the flickering gone. The whole screen experience is smooth, clear, wonderful fonts, crisp yet harmonious. Add the nice Hayao Miyazaki inspired background image and the cool way in which the K-menu bar moves a bit away from the screen edge when all windows are minimized...
