KUBUNTU 24.10 - A warning message when I refresh the upload section

    Hello everyone,
I have this message when I do a refresh in the update section. I just installed Kubuntu 24.10.
"W: Repositories should provide a clear-signed InRelease file, but none found at https://ppa.launchpadcontent.net/appimagelauncher-team/stable/ubuntu/dists/oracular/InRelease."
What are we suppose to do ?
    Thanks for help

The PPA you are using hasn't been updated for use past Ubuntu Kinetic Kudo (22.10) which became EOL (End of Life) on July 20, 2023. What you are seeing is just a warning (W:) anyway, and isn't causing any harm. You can just ignore it. But, if you want it to 'go away', then you need to either remove the PPA from your repository lists, or comment it (add a # before the entry).

Thank you snowhog for your help
      I did
      cd /etc/apt/sources.list.d/
      and I have
      appimagelauncher-team-ubuntu-stable-oracular.sources ubuntu.sources
      I did
      sudo rm appimagelauncher-team-ubuntu-stable-oracular.sources ubuntu.sources

      and no more warnings !

Is it normal to have an empty
          /etc/apt/sources.list.d/
          ?

With the newer releases of Kubuntu, yes. Look at the notice in the file. cat /etc/apt/sources.list
Ooops. My bad. See jlittle's reply in post #9.

You have made enough posts now that you should be able to add screenshots and/or upload images.

I think no; a vanilla 24.10 has ubuntu.sources there. It's only 10 lines that are not comments or blank. I suspect that an APT update gives no warnings because it is doing nothing.

To confirm what the main server URI is, I've just run sudo software-properties-qt on my main 24.10 install (substantially not vanilla), and it has consolidated the 2 stanzas in to 1, thus 5 lines:
                  Code:
                  Types: deb deb-src
                  URIs: http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu
                  Suites: oracular oracular-updates oracular-backports oracular-security
                  Components: main restricted universe multiverse
                  Signed-By: /usr/share/keyrings/ubuntu-archive-keyring.gpg
Something, I suspect a release upgrade, separated the oracular-security "suite" to another stanza using http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/. And for the vanilla 24.10 the installer also generated 2 stanzas. I wonder if that's better.
                  Regards, John Little
