The system update icon gone is gone after upgrade from 24.04. When there are updates pending in Discover, no notification appears. But even the icon itself is not available in the system icon list.

Check your system tray , it may be in the 'hidden' section. Check the tray settings - it may be set to hidden or disabled. -
I already did. The icon is completely gone.Comment

Now the notification came. Maybe because I switched to "only notify about available updates" instead of the automatic install option in discover update settings. But I never touched any settings going from 24.04 to 24.10. Whatever.Comment
