krdpserver started manually works. krdpserver started via "Settings - Remote Desktop" does not.

    Hi,

as mentioned in the headline, I've got an issue with krdpserver. I am working on a fresh Kubuntu 24.10 install, have added the packages needed for krdpserver to work. I use Thincast Remote Desktop Client for testing puposes. When I start krdpserver via Settings - Remote Desktop (after creating a user "user" password "test), start the server and try to connect from Thincast, the connection times out. "ps -A | grep krdp" shows the server is running. I tested both from the server itself connecting to localhost as well as from another computer in the same network. Same result: Timeout, no connection.

When I stop the server via gui, then start it by hand ("krdpserver -u user -p test") and try to connect from Thincast, it works flawlessly. And it's very responsive, too!

Do you have any suggestions what might go wrong, what I could try next? Thanks a lot!
