Dear all,
I have a Dell Latitude 9430 laptop, with a (unique) Intel Iris Xe Graphics "card". I need to project my screen (or part of it, whatever) to an Epson Powerlight s41+ Projector. This worked fine with the kubuntu 20.04 LTS I had previously, but no longer with my recently installed kubuntu 24.10 (kernel 6.11.0-19-generic - if I recall well, that was necessary for the camera - see below). Windows S.O., within this dual boot machine, projects normally (so I rule out a hardware problem).
For what is worth for this issue (related issues?) , I must say: i) I have turned from wayland to X11 due to my (virtual windows within) VirtualBox not working properly; ii) I could have only now, within 24.10, my IPU6 camera to work (no previous luck with the former version); and iii) due to a laggy mouse, when I have to boot linux, first I go for secure mode, and then, without any further adjustment, I go for normal boot (as I barely reboot, I have not yet dealt with this).
I can add: i) I could not project the laptop screen through HDMI to a television (as expected); ii) kubuntu 24.10 "display configuration" does not even seem to have detected it (as the Epson monitor does not either); iii) I also tried with an Epson powerlite w49 projector - same result (as expected).
So, yes, I would be grateful for suggestion about what to do.
Jorge
