Issue Kubuntu 24.10: Laptop Screen goes Black, external Monitor runs fine,

    Hello,
I've been running into an issue w/ Kubuntu 24.10 on a laptop. It has a integrated GPU (Radeon 780m) and a Discreet GPU (Geforce 4070 MaxQ)
I run two screen with the on board screen and an external Monitor on HDMI (set as primary). The laptop screen will go black or freeze the last image and remain that way until I restart the window manager or system.
It seems to occur more quickly when I'm doing GPU intensive work such as gaming under Steam Proton, OBS Screen Record + Video Editing, or screen sharing, but will also happen at random with just web browsers and Discord open. I have tried turning off GPU Acceleration in what apps that can and it has no affect on the frequency of the black screen kicking in.
I've attempted using different nvidia driver builds and the issue remains. Also done a fresh install of the OS and no change other than it seems to take a bit longer to kick in.
I also checked my CPU/GPU temps to make sure it's not over heating.

This issue does NOT appear when running the same software combinations in Windows.
Also it did not occur on my older gaming Laptop (ASUS ROG Strix, AMD Ryzen 7, Geforce 3060) doing the same things with Kubuntu 24.10.

Any help figuring this out so it can be corrected would be greatly appreciated. Specs of my system are:
    HP Victus 16
    AMD Ryzen 7 8845 w/ Radeon 780m
    64 GB Ram
    GeForce 4070 MaxQ

The on Board screen is 1080p and the external screen is a 32" 1440p.
Working...
