BENGOO Headset not working via USB

    https://www.amazon.com/BENGOO-G9000-.../dp/B01H6GUCCQ

    Hello,

My Bengoo headset is not working via USB on Kubuntu 24.10. It has been working via analog, but that the analog plugin got bent thanks to my dogs. The USB works on PS4 and windows, but I cannot get it to work on Linux. Any help would be appreciated.

Does it show up in the audio section of System Settings, or the System Tray icon?

If not, what does the output of the lsusb command show? This will provide hardware IDs that might help, especially if this is using the same audio chip as a different device.

It does not. The RGB on the headset turns on, but it is not showing up on my system.

Here's what appears after using that command.

The headset is not showing up under lsusb. Even if it is not supported. missing drivers, or not working for some other reason, it would show here.

        Try a different port

BUUUUUT........, I did spy on Amazon reviews that the USB is simply to power the LEds, and there is zero mention of USB in the product connectivity details.

I think you're correct, that the USB does not do anything besides power the LEDs. Ugh, bummer. Thank you for the help.
