    Virtual Desktop Switching

    Greetings,
    the virtual desktop is set to show animation when switching but there's no animation. The only way I can tell that my desktop has switched is by a brief display of the desktop number.

    Is compositing enabled? The default key chord for this is Alt-Shift-F12, which is a toggle.

    Is system settings, display and monitor, compositor, enable on startup checked?

        You might check your animation speed as well. it might be too fast to see any changes.

        Is this *only* happening for switching desktops? Things like your Application menu or systray overflow area sliding up, etc should be happening as well

        If it is happening everywhere, you might check if you are actually using software rendering, as opposed to hardware rendering. You might have a video driver issue.

        "llvmpipe = software rendering, not done by the gpu.
