How to not un-maximize when moving windows?

One of the best things about KDE (IMO) is assigning meta-left-drag (in Window Management -> Window Behavior -> Window Actions -> Inner Window...) to "Activate, raise and move", which allows lightning fast moving of apps from one screen to another.

Trouble is, these windows are maximized, and as of the update to 24.10 KDE is no longer maintaining the maximized status -- as soon as you move them (via that shortcut or dragging via menu bar), it un-maximizes the window for some reason (which drives me nuts and seems like a really strange choice).

I have workarounds (meta-mouse-wheel-up maximizes, and I also use keyboard shortcuts to change screens for a window) but I'd love the old behavior back. Any way to accomplish this?

    Thanks!
