[SOLVED] Wayland Blanking on Fullscreen

I have been testing game performance on 24.10 using a wayland session only to find out that games running fullscreen, and certain media players cause the screen to blank out only on fullscreen, but not on the desktop using a window. I'm using both AMD Radeon 680m and 780m graphics with open-source kernel drivers and have tried the following:

- Different kernels, 6.8, 6.9, 6.10 and now 6.11
- Disabling xwaylandbridge just incase, it wasnt that
- Different fullscreen resolutions, didn't help.

Everything works fine and dandy while using X11 but wayland gives a good performance boost when using xwayland for gaming so I really want to stick with wayland going forward. Any ideas what may be causing this or how to fix ?

A friend found the solution for his own system, turns out adaptive sync was set to automatic which was causing the blanking, so disabling it fixed all issues
