where is online accounts ?

    [CONFIGURATION] where is online accounts ?

    Hello,
    I'm new with Kubuntu.
    I wanted to have my gdrive visible in dolphin. but impossible.
    I saw that i need to use online accounts in the setting system, and it should be on the left.
    But I don't have anything.
    Is somebody can help please?

    Do you have the packages:

    kaccounts-providers
    kio-gdrive

    installed?

      No.
      I was on linux mint before. and just had to go on online accounts and it was fine.
      I just try "sudo apt install kaccounts-integration kaccounts-providers" said that's already the newest.

      I will try with Kio...

        Even after installing the required libraries, there's no guarantee it will work!

        It's been broken in KDE Neon for so long I gave up with it and just used my browser to upload/download files.
        Constant change is here to stay!

          I just now added two google drive accounts, successfully. I suspect fixes along with the Plasma 6.2.x updates on neon.

          I don't know if it was something I did yet, but undoing that after adding the first account, I was still able to add the second.

            And...

            It's now working again for me..

            I've only got 4.5Gb of space left though in my Google account and I don't fancy paying
            them 2,500 yen per year for 100Gb of storage!
            Constant change is here to stay!

              I got excited that I read it's working for some so I tried today. Kept saying "loading for 2 minutes so I deleted the account and re-added it. The amount of options when re-adding the account had increased so I was happily expecting results with fingers crossed. Twelve (12) minutes later, it's still "loading". I'm guessing it works for some, not the others. Running 24.04 by the way with all the latest updates.
              Challenges are what that keeps us from the borderline of boredom in life's journey. Linux user no. 419401 currently running Kubuntu 24.04
