How do i use the number pad to move the mouse only when numlock is off?

I dual-boot with Windows, which has a feature called "Mouse Keys." This feature has an option that allows it to work either with numlock on or off. (user's choice) I use this feature in Windows because there are times that I have issues using a regular mouse, but I also want to have access to the number keys for entering numbers too.

Is there any way to make this accessibility feature work only when the numlock is off, so that I can still use my number keys if I'm not using a regular mouse? Even a good 3rd party app will suffice, if it has that functionality.

might be kind of tedious to set up but input remapper would be able to do it... and maybe you could set a hot key for enabe/disable to switch back and forth.

There is a setting in Settings -> Accessibility -> Mouse navigation (I have a Dutch system, so the names are maybe a bit different). If you enable that, you can move the mouse, click, etc. with the numpad. I have used that before, and it's working great. If you hover over the 'i' on top of the setting, the keys are described. (In my system not all of them. The '+' for right-click is missing, so is the key for holding the left button down.)
But there are two reasons why I stopped using it. Maybe some genius knows how to solve those, I don't.
      * There's no indication when the left mouse button is locked. That's really very very very confusing.
      * To enable or disable mouse navigation you have to go back to Settings - > Accessibility -> Mouse navigation. Which makes is unusable if you switch a lot between on and off.
But may some genius here knows how to solve those problems.

I will have a look at input remapper when I get the chance. Thanks for the idea.

I know about this setting. When I change this setting, I usually have to logout and back in for it to apply. It also doesn't let you choose whether to use it with the number lock on or off.
