Browser window blank after resume from suspend on wayland

Hi all. When I resume from suspend to ram my browser window is completely blank. This happens with edge (flatpak) and also with vivaldi (snap).
I run Kubuntu 24.04 on wayland.
With edge I can refresh the page and all is good again. But with vivaldi I have to restart the browser.

This does not happen on my laptop with intergrated intel graphics.
But only on my desktop with an AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT card using the default open-source drivers.

Has anybody any idea why specifically these apps have these problems?
    Thank you.

Does it still remain blank when you minimise then restore the window ? What kernel are you using ?

      Hi, thank you for answering!
      I run the 6.8.0-57-generic kernel.

To test what you said I just suspended and resumed and the window was just fine.
Now I'm confused as to why I all of a sudden cannot reproduce the problem.
Maybe this only happens after a longer period of sleep?
      Weird.
I'll just have to check later in the day when I will put the pc to sleep for a few hours.

Could be an update to those browsers or system updates that fixed things.

As both of these browsers you mention are Chromium based, they are still running in xorg by default -- or rather xwayland. You might try editing their ozone flags to force them to run natively in Wayland and see if that helps any.

Good idea! I just set the flag to wayland.
If I'm not comming back here, then it worked.
Thank you for taking the time to help!

            Wel it seems solved.
I don't know if it's because I changed the flag to wayland or just a coincidence.
