Firefox does not save credit cards

    Hello,

I am using FireFox coming with Kubuntu 24.04 (snap). I have noticed it looks impossible to get it storing credit cards (which used to work fine with 22.04).
Is there a solution for this please?

    Thanks,

Personally I would not use Firefox to save sensitive information like that. I'm not saying it's insecure, but IMO you'd be better using the Bitwarden extension to save credit cards & passwords.

Is anything happening? is it not present, or not working? What part fails?

If the Snap was working in 22.04, then it should work the same in 24.04, since the FF and its included components would be 100% identical (this is a main point of Snap/Flatpak)

I am not seeing it here.

It may be a bug in the current Firefox version itself. Or perhaps an extension may be interfering. Or a damaged file, even.

When in Firefox, click on the hamburger icon and then click on Settings then type credit in the Find in Settings search box. Under Autofill, ensure that Save and fill payment methods is checked.

          I hope you get a solution jlbo93.
On a lighter note, when I saw the title, I thought "Great" -- that might be a new feature of Firefox! ha-ha-ha

            Hello,
            Thanks for the replies.
A simple way to reproduce the issue is trying to insert a new credit card into firefox through the parameter menu to add a new card.
If I fill a new card and press OK, the card does not get added, the list of available cards remain empty.
There is no error message. Nothing happens.

            Thanks,

one thing to try is to either create a new FF profile (not a replacement) and see if this happens there as well.
Or, create a new user login, which would also have a fresh profile.

If it doesn't happen there, we will know it is something with your profile.
If you use any extension, try disabling them and see if that helps.
