Windscribe isn't a package (software) that is provided by Ubuntu, so it won't be found in Discover. You can obtain and should be able to install following the instructions from their website: https://windscribe.com/knowledge-bas...ribe-on-linux/

          So I downloaded the .deb package file (Debian/Ubuntu (AMD64) - https://windscribe.com/install/desktop/linux_deb_x64

I opened Konsole and changed into my Downloads directory: cd Downloads

I installed the file (windscribe_2.12.7_amd64.deb) with dpkg: sudo dpkg -i windscribe_2.12.7_amd64.deb

          No errors or warnings given.

          Winscribe appears under Internet.

`archive.canonical.com` repo in your error is an old one that doesn't exist any longer, and hasn't for many years now. So you added something you need to remove.

You need to remove or disable it, either using the Software Sources tool or by editing your /etc/apt/sources.list file.

To access the Software Sources tool, you will need to get there in a backward manner, via the Driver Manager due to a known bug from changes in how the software sources are formatted, which breaks showing them in Discover.

Or undo whatever you edited when you added this in the first place.

There is no way that a normal kubuntu install of 24,04 has a repo that stopped being used after 12.04 (from 2012)
See my image which is from a bone stock fresh install.

I suggest a new thread for Windscribe. Multiple different problems in one post usually means one or both get less attention.
provide exact details on where you got whatever package, and any specific instructions you may have used.

But a quickie thing to try:
The defualt Qapt deb installer is crap -- old and buggy, and often falsely shows 'missing dependencies' .
Right click on the file and open with Discover instead.
