I have been talk to the pis customer service for a few days and can't seem to make any progress with this. The pia app says it can't establish connection to the vpn server contact customer support.
I have tried openvpn and wireguard, all the ports, UDP, and TCP, using multihop, and sent them the logs. Nothing seems to work.
Then they told me the command to try and purge it (sudo dpkg --purge piavpn) and reinstall and it get interesting. When i tell it to purge it come back with ( dpkg: warning: ignoring request to remove piavpn which isn't installed). I tried the command with the app both running and closed it cant find it.
A friend told me to try (dpkg --list | grep pia) also tried (dpkg --list | grep priv) to look for the package. There was no package listed for pia or private internet access but the app is installed and running.
The last reply i got from pia asked if i could just use the browser extensions but that isn't good enough for me so thats where I am stuck at atm.
I installed from kubuntu 24.04.1
kde plasma version: 5.27.11
kde frameworks version: 5.115.0
QT version: 5.15.13
kernel version: 6.8.0-45-generic (64-bit)
graphics platform: X11
I did not have any problems with pia using 22.04 or even when I upgraded to 24.04. Then I botched a video card driver install and did a fresh install from 24.04.1 and have had this problem ever since. Even tried a fresh install from24.04 had the same problem.
