Spotify - task manager audio controls on hover

Heya! I'm trying to get some handy controls for Spotify music player when hovering the taskbar entry, something like windoze offers:



Any ideas on how to achieve this? I tried various ways of installing Spotify but none provided this feature by default 🐻

official client here, but I am on Plasma 6. I could swear this was present in my Plasma 5, I *think* this functionality needs to be present in the app, and this one is just a chrome web app (aka Electron) which should work

Make sure you have not disabled preview popups in your task manager

It was checked. Anyway, seems I wasn't using the official deb, but flatpak or snaps. Only official one provides the buttons there, but it has issues with playing local files *sigh*
I've managed once to combine the pinned shortcut with buttons with actually using flatpak or snap version, but fiddled around with it and ended up with 2 icons in the task manager bar thingy, one not even having a spotify icon, but had the controls on both... so no ideal solution yet... unless I figure out how to fix one things or the other.
