ACPI bios error, system does not boot

I just installed the latest version of kubuntu on my laptop. A few hours after setting it up the system suddenly showed an error for a few seconds(I believe it was ACPI but some sort of bios error), before shutting down completely. Any attempt at booting it up shows no sign of response from the laptop at all so I can’t access the bios menu. It is an hp pavilion gaming laptop. Any suggestions?

    Welcome to KFN.

Remove the laptop battery. Wait at least 30-seconds before putting it back in. Power it on.

A lot of modern laptops do not have removable batteries, my HP Envy is one of those. If that is the case, simply open the case, and disconnect the cable from the battery for the 30 or so seconds. Same result hopefully.
