    Vivaldi will not install [SOLVED]

I can't get vivaldi browser to install correctly in 24.04. works fine on 22.04. If I use dpkg it will install but won't run. says missing dependency but does not tell me what is missing.
any clues as to getting it woriking?

Installed fine here on my 24.04.

I downloaded the file from https://vivaldi.com/download/ (Vivaldi 6.7 for linux DEB). It downloaded to my Downloads folder.

I opened Konsole and changed into my Downloads directory. I used apt to install: sudo apt install ./vivaldi-stable_6.7.3329.41-1_amd64.deb

Installed fine. I updated the database: sudo updatedb

    I launched Vivaldi. Works fine.

sudo updatedb? Are you sure? That updates the index used by the locate command, almost nothing to do with APT.

Thanks Snowhog - got it working.. I was trying it in a VM and vivaldi would not launch but I installed on real machine and it's working now.

I just installed it in my Oracle VirtualBox (Version 7.0.18 r162988 (Qt5.15.2)) VM of KDE neon User Edition. No issues. It launched and performed as expected.
