Supersayano So I just now tested the script provided by jlittle. I wrote it in my /home directory to keep things simple. I followed his steps in post #2 exactly. I then created a .url file (I named it googlefonts.url) using the first sample from your post #5, saving it to my Desktop. I then launched Dolphin, changed to the Desktop folder and double-clicked on googlefonts.url. Firefox launched displaying the webpage for https://fonts/google.com. The script works as jlittle expressed.
Windows no longer obstructs my view.
Using Kubuntu Linux since March 23, 2007.

It seems that the script is executed for you. The problem is that the script does not run for me as you can see in post #7, so I cannot check if the script works for me or not.

Well, after so many tests, at least it seems that I have found another unsolvable problem on my system (that script does not run normally).

The good thing is that I think I have found the solution to my initial problem that when I execute the .url files, Firefox launches by opening the url they contain.
In case it helps someone, I think my solution is more elegant and does not require any script, it is the following:

In "File Associations" I searched for "x-mswinurl" and clicked on the "Add" button and instead of searching for the script I simply typed the command "wine" and clicked on the "OK" button ". Then I uploaded that new entry to the highest position. And then optionally, so that it would be more aesthetic, I clicked on the "Edit" button, and there I was able to add the Firefox icon to that entry, as well as being able to change the name from "wine" to "Firefox", and that's it.

Now when you click on a .url file, Firefox opens loaded with the url that contained the file.
I have even been able to verify that the same thing also works by changing the "wine" command to "xdg-open".
      Greetings...
