When I try running Windows games through Steam, I very often don't get any audio. In fact, it completely prevents audio from playing across any application on my system. This happens on both Steam flatpak and regular Steam. As a workaround, I'm sometimes able to get audio working by running a native Linux game (such as Half-Life) and then closing out of it and opening the Windows game again. For some reason, doing that makes it work, but not always. Sometimes it just decides to not work anyway. Is there a known solution to this issue? Some variation of this issue has been affecting me since I've started using Kubuntu and I have no idea why.
