I was upgrading my Aunts 16.04 to 18 to 20 to 22 to 24 and I realized I should just do a clean install. I was dealing with a boot drive that was too small too .. anyway, I decided to copy her data to another drive and then do a fresh install.
The fresh install could not occur because I could only select an LVM partition or manual setup. I did manual setup last time and caused problems, so I'm not doing that again.
Anyway, the installer would not let me clear /dev/sda to be just one partition, it left the boot and let me do an LVM partition.
I thought LVM was going to be amazing but it caused so many problems... I just went to commandline and fdisked the partitions away and rebooted and got the clean install I wanted, but this is an oversite/bug.
They make it so hard to post bugs now.
Thank you. Kubuntu is awesome and is the replacement for windows 10.
