Support of Nvidia 340.108 under Kubuntu 24.04

    Hello,
I have been on Kubuntu 22.04 LTS for a long time now and would like to
upgrade to 24.04 LTS. However, my laptop is a Sony Vaio (see complete system
info below). So far I have been able to support my old Nvidia 340.108 through
the below PPA. I wonder whether it might be possible to still run my laptop under
Kubuntu 24.04 LTS. Thanks a lot in advance for your help.
    Regards from Salzburg

I see a lot of complaints about nvidia. Some more valid than others. but alot seem to be related to drivers installed incorrectly. and yes, they suck. all of this, should not be neccessary. well, other than , sudo apt install nvidia-driver.
