Hi, after finally convinving my wife to move to linux I have created a problem for her.
On her work laptop (hp elite probook, i5, 16gb ram, nothing special), I have done a clean install of kubuntu.
She only uses a couple of apps;
Firefox
Edge for work stuff
Libre Writer
Libre Calc
Flameshot tool for screenshots
Protonpass her password manager as a browser extention
Dropbox
Multple times per day while working her system sort of hangs. I'm able to move the mouse, and the mouse 5 seconds later will jump a bit to the right or left, so its not completely stuck, but i am unable to use alt-tab to open another window for example.
How do i even start to troubleshoot this?
The only thing that seems to help is a hard reset atm when this happens...
I really want her to stay on linux
edit: Oh btw, its a clean install of Kubuntu 24.04. I've also done clean installs of 24.04 on 2 other laptops in the house and a desktop pc, same setup and those all run just fine.. It has to be the wives one ofcourse
