What is with dolphin not showing root file system on 24.04.

I've installed on two different machines and on both dolphin does not show the / partition in the left menu?

Hasn't for a little while I think. Add it yourself - just right-click on "Places" and choose "Add Entry". I'm sure you can figure out the rest.

Note that if you have the "Devices" section enabled in the left menu, your mounted drive should be there as "root". In my case, since I use BTRFS and subvolumes, I see my subvolumes there. If one was using EXT4 I suspect you will see your root.

Correction: Devices will show the partition by device name unless you label the file system. If you label it "root" that's how it will appear. Either way, clicking on it gets you to the system folders

I noticed that the installer of Kubuntu 24.04 LTS seems to automatically name/label the root partition "kubuntu_2404" or something similar.
