    CPU (/RAM?) being overused

For example, when running Floorp and Firefox at the same time, both having multiple windows and a lot of tabs, my computer can't handle it all.
In this case, Kubuntu should have a limit for the CPU/RAM (I'm not yet sure which is overloaded) so it doesn't destroy itself.
Currently, this is ending up in Kubuntu stuck forever.

Welcome and please post more details (e.g. of your hardware).
This could be an issue because of the Firefox Snap, but I am just guessing here…

You can also see Essential and strongly recommended things to do directly after a Kubuntu 24.04 LTS installation.

      Thanks for the quick response.

      Processors: 4 × Intel® Core™ i5-3320M CPU @ 2.60GHz
      Memory: 7.4 GiB of RAM
Graphics Processor: Mesa Intel® HD Graphics 4000

I think this also happened without firefox, but I'm not sure.
Also thanks for the hint with the things to do, wonder why no one told me earlier or why it is not set up like that.

Well, I have been wondering for many years now why most Linux distributions targeted at desktop usage are not set up a bit better for this purpose…
Glad I could help (at least a little).

Your computer should be absolutely capable of handling several tasks at once (I have some older computers here with only 8MB RAM and similar CPUs…) - just don't expect wonders, this is an old processor… It should not get "stuck", though!
One thing a computer nowadays can subjectively slow down the most is if it uses a HDD instead of a SSD.

Perhaps install something like htop in Konsole and leave it running to find the culprit?
Another way to monitor things can be to run sudo journalctl -f in Konsole and also leave the window open.
