Dolphin icons are white when set to 22 pixels with Nvidia driver

    Hi,

New install on my first Nvidia card in a long while. Finally got a decent upgrade with a 4060 card, and installed 24.04 with the nvidia-driver-550.

I remember from years ago that one of my complaints with nvidia drivers was that some tearing occurs and things open somewhat slowly, and that has also reappeared with the new system, along with the weird colors on the icons at size 16 and size 22 pixels in dolphin.

System - acer nitro, i5-1440f, rtx 4060 8gb, and kubuntu installed on 4tb nvme , video out on hdmi port and 1 display port.

I did go back to the nouveau driver and the 22 pixel colors were back for every icon - and then went away when returning to the nvidia drivers.

The 32 pixel size on dolphin has full colors for everything, just nothing smaller, and the sizes jump from 22 to 32 pixels. If there were sizes between 22 and 32, those might bring the colors back too.

    Questions:

    1) any way to speed up the graphics and window opening using the nvidia driver? and reduce the screen tearing when programs open when playing video with smplayer?

    2) any way to set dolphin to either an icon size between 22 and 32, or return the colors to the icons at 22 pixels with the nvidia driver? It's much easier to know what is a folder when the big blue icon color is filled in.

    Thanks.

Here is a comparison of the icons.
