Wayland screenshare Rectangular Region, e.g. via Google Meet.

I have another machine using Fedora Kinoite with Wayland and I can screenshare a Rectangular Region, which is very handy with 4k screens.

With Kubuntu 24:04 LTS, when I try to do so that, that option isn't available. Is there a way to change the required packages to enable me to do so?

    Thanks, Ian

Fedora has Plasma 6.1, which has new features along with many Wayland improvements. You won't see those in Plasma 5.27 + KDE gear 23.08 vs Fedora40/Kubuntu 24.10 and Plasma 6/KDE Gear 24.08

I don't *think* there is anything one can do to add or enable this in Plasma 5.27 or Kubuntu 24.04, though I can be wrong. Just the ability for wayland screen sharing required a full pipewire/wireplumber, which 24.04 definitely has.
It is a bit overkill, but OBS should definitely have this in Wayland, which I am positive I have used for screensharing a window or something, via OBS' virtual webcam in Plasma 5/Wayland.

It's integrated into xdg-desktop-portal-kde, so everything you see is Qt (my theme may be confusing tho) Hence, it also works on Wayland only, because on X11, the apps themselves query for the screen regions they want, whereas on Wayland, everything goes through portal.
