Audacity and Pulseaudio configuration

Hello!! I'm having an issue setting up both pulseaudio and audacity. I can record mic audio on Kazam but i can't do it on Audacity. I've set the mic levels using both Alsamixer and pulseaudio, but Audacity is just not picking it up. I'm running Audacity V3.3.3 and Kubuntu version 23.10. Is there something I'm doing wrong? I'd love some feedback on this folks.

Hey! It's me again!! OK so i figured out how to record from the mic using the audio setup button. now for question number 2. Is it possible to record the sound on my speakers? Sound basic i'm sure but I'm a relative newbie. Once again I'd appreciate any scraps of help i cna get!
