Problem with font on a bluemail dialog window

    Hello everyone,

I wanted to try bluemail to have a tool that works as well on my linux or on my android smartphone (For the moment, I use thunderbird but it is not available on android).
The installation was ok and everything work fine except that : when I have a pdf file attached to my mail, I can open it without any problem but if I try to save it, the dialog window allowing me to choose the place where to save my file can't be read. Every character is replaced by a rectangle

Here is what it looks like.

Do you have an idea ?

    Thanks

    Thibault on Kubuntu 23,10

Not quite true, K9 will become the Android version of Thunderbird.

You probably are missing whatever font the Gtk file picker needs, or something along those lines.
If you are using the Snap, this may be useful. Looks like they make a crappy package, in regards to Plasma support.

Bluemail's desktop client is just a chrome(ium) electron web app, and for me (the deb) does not even open, it crashes immediately.

Also, to be honest, there is zero reason that one *has* to use the same email client between device platforms.
I switched from Bluemail for my personal email accounts to K9 in the past year, and have been quite happy with it. I don't use a desktop client. I don't have a desire or need to have physical copies of mail on my systems, though.

Well, the reason is quite simple : I use my mail client on my computer because it's my work tool. I also like to have it on my smartphone to be advised when an important mail arrives. The advantage of having the same client (like bluemail) is to have a synchronization of my adressbook on both platforms as proposed by bluemail.

Thank you again for your answer.
