Upgrade 23.04 -> 23.10 doesnt work because of 'no new release found'

    Dear community,

I'm trying to upgrade from 23.04 to 23.10 following the official instructions, but when I enter the command: pkexec do-release-upgrade -m desktop -f DistUpgradeViewKDE

    It gives back that:
Checking for a new Ubuntu release
    No new release found.

Strange thing is (and I don´t know if this has anything to do with it) that when I do a neofetch, it doesn´t recognize it as Kubuntu, but as Ubuntu 23.04...

Is there something that could be done? I would love to upgrade :-D (I ran all the updates previous to trying to upgrade, as instructed)

    Kind regards,

Note: For upgrades from 23.04, there may a delay of a few hours to days between the official release announcements and the Ubuntu Release Team enabling upgrades.
This is usual. It eases loads on servers/mirrors, allows early upgraders who force the upgrade to flag up any unfound upgrade bugs, etc....

Normal upgrades will only become available when mantic is added to the end of this file https://changelogs.ubuntu.com/meta-release which the upgrader checks to see what is available and supported.

Ps. so its also normal that my neofetch sees my Kubuntu as Ubuntu?

Yes. As an OS, there is no difference, they are the same, from the same place, etc.
neofetch should have a setting of some sort that can be adjusted to show Kubuntu, I am sure someone knows this off the top of their heads
