Firefox broken after a clean reinstall of Kubuntu 23.10

    Hello,

After installing the new Release the buttons for maximizing and minimizing firefox are gone.
I am using the firefox snap and i am running Wayland. However this worked flawless on Kubuntu 23.04.
I also noticed that the KDE plasma integration addon and my zotero addon stopped working in firefox.

The problem with the buttons seems related to Wayland. It is not present on the X11 session.

I noticed the same problem. On September 28 Firefox was updated to a new version 118.0.1 that has resolved this problem. Kubuntu Snap Firefox has not been updated to the new version. I found this out when I had removed Snap and added the Debian Firefox ppa.

        Wayland isn't officially supported, however......

        See: https://invent.kde.org/plasma/xdg-de...23af7d001de549

As in that recent KDE fix, adding that line to /usr/share/xdg-desktop-portal/kde-portals.conf should fix the issue.

The above KDE fix did not work for me. Sudo snap refresh --stable Firefox, updated my snap Firefox to the latest version yesterday. The previous version of Firefox said that Firefox was running in Wayland and now it says X Wayland. My other computer with Kubuntu 23.10 and snap removed and updated Debian Firefox PPA says Wayland.
