    Kubuntu 23.10 Flatpak Issues

After upgrading to Kubuntu 23.10 with sudo do-release-upgrade -d, all Flatpak apps that don't use KDE runtime have problems. Firefox only has a close button in the top right corner and the cursors is very small. Telegram has a very large cursors. Apps using Gnome runtime have font problems and the cursors size is also incorrect. Applications using Xwayland and KDE Runtime have no problems. I have successfully reproduced these issues using a virtual machine installation of Kubuntu 23.10. The Kubuntu 23.10 Snap version of firefox uses Wayland by default, with only the close button in the upper right corner.

    Welcome.

Does this only happen in Wayland or also in X11?

Did I understand you correctly: this happens both after a do-release-upgrade and after a fresh installation?

get rid of Snap script (20.04 +)reinstall Snap for release-upgrade script (20.04 +)
install traditional Firefox script (22.04 +) • install traditional Thunderbird script (24.04)

@Schwarzer Kater Yes. Only Wayland gets the error, X11 and xwayland don't have any problems. Cursors that are too small are used at 4k resolution and 200% Scale.

Adding org.freedesktop.impl.portal.Settings=kde;gtk; does fix these issues. Although the cursor size is correct. The cursor doesn't seem to be scaled correctly with GTK apps, the cursor doesn't look like it's anti-aliased.
