External monitors dont works in Linux 6.2.0-25-generic

    Good morning.

After upgrading from Linux 6.2.0-24-generic to Linux 6.2.0-25-generic yesterday and restarting my laptop (Predator Helios 300 with NVidia RTX 2060) my external monitors (HDMI and DP) don't work (are not recognized) . I'am using nvidia-driver-525. If on startup, I select Linux 6.2.0-24-generic in grub, external monitors works well.

    Anyone else with this problem?

    Is there any fix?

Supported Linux drivers for your Nvidia RTX 2060 graphics card are: 535.x, 530.x, 525.x and 520.x.
According to Nvidia the 425.x is not amongst the supported drivers.

I would try the newest one of the supported drivers that is available from the *Ubuntu repositories (in the Konsole terminal emulator enter ubuntu-drivers devices to get an overview) - but be sure not to use the -open one!

get rid of Snap script (20.04 +)reinstall Snap for release-upgrade script (20.04 +)
install traditional Firefox script (22.04 +) • install traditional Thunderbird script (24.04)

Echwarzer, I wrote it wrong, I'm using version 525.

So in your second output you can see that *Ubuntu thinks you should use the 535 driver instead of the 525 one for your GPU ("recommended").
Perhaps upgrading from 525 to 535 will solve your problem…

Otherwise I suspect a bug/incompatibility in the 6.2.0-25-generic kernel - did you find any similar reported problems with Nvidia drivers (and external monitors) concerning this *Ubuntu kernel update?
