    No sound on laptop

The sound on my laptop initially worked fine, but recently, sometime after updating the kernel but not immediately, sound output quit working.
    machine info:
    Operating System: Kubuntu 23.04
    KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.4
    KDE Frameworks Version: 5.104.0
    Kernel Version: 6.2.0-20-generic (64-bit)
    Graphics Platform: X11
    Processors: 8 × Intel® Core™ i5-1135G7@ 2.4 Ghz.
    Memory: 16 Gb
Graphics Processor: Mesa Intel® Xe Graphics
    Manufacturer: Acer
    Product Name: Aspire A315-58
    Previous kernel: 5.19.0-40-generic (64-bit)

I've also noticed that pulse audio settings sometimes seems to forget the existence of the laptop's speaker/headphone output. I have tried reinstalling pulseaudio, but the problem persists.
The sound does work if I use the option to boot the previous kernel, which suggests a change in the newer kernal since it was updated, or a missing or corrupted file rather than a hardware problem.

I've also booted from a live 23.04 USB stick and verified that there's no sound problem there.

        I have a similar problem.
Everything worked just fine out-of-the box since yesterday. Today if I play an audio or a video from different software, I can see the volume bar working, but I can't ear anything, like if the system couldn't pass the audio to the sound board. I use an external UMC404HD, I've connected it to an other cmoputer and the sound card works just fine.

I'm not sure If I updated the kernel or something else recently, and until yesterday, anyway, it was working.

My aplay -l output is the following:

        Code:

        I'm on Kubuntu 23.04 updated.
        Kernel version I'm using is: 6.2.0-1003-lowlatency #3-Ubuntu SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC

And I'm using ALSA and Pipewire.

        Thanks for any help.
