    windows 11 dual boot

Can I install as usual If I disable secure boot? Is there something I need to do before I install for a dual boot system?

With dual booting, it is best to install Windows first. It likes to manage booting, and will usually become the primary boot OS. Even updates can sometimes reset the boot order in your BIOS.
So installing and setting up Windows first is usually the easier, safer choice.

If you want to install Win11 without secure boot, I think there are a number of hoops to jump through, or the installer needs to be modified.
I believe that Rufus can do this for you.

You can also just install Win 11 normally, then simply disable Secure Boot afterward, or keep it, and just install Kubuntu - it supports Secure Boot installation.
But disabling it is probably best, since not all distros have easy support for this, if any.

You also will want to turn off Windows Fast Startup, as it really is a hybrid Sleep sort of thing, and can lock access to some partitions or drives.

Thank you. I will do this, I forgot about fast startup.
