    [RESOLVED] Kubuntu 24.04 no sound input from headset

    Hello,
    my name is Erich
    I am using this System:
    Software
    KDE-Plasma-Version: 5.27.12
    KDE Frameworks-Version: 5.115.0
    Qt-Version: 5.15.13
    Kernel-Version: 6.8.0-53-generic (64-bit)
    Grafik-Plattform: X11
    Hardware
    Prozessoren: 12x AMD Ryzen 5 3600 6-Core Processor
    Speicher: 31,3 GiB Arbeitsspeicher
    Grafikprozessor: AMD CAICOS
    Hersteller: Micro-Star International Co., Ltd
    Produktname: MS-7B86
    Systemversion: 4.0

    My problem is, I can't get any sound input from the microphone of my headset.
    Here are some outputs from wpctl:
    Code:
    et@ets:~/.local/state$ wpctl status
    PipeWire 'pipewire-0' [1.0.5, et@ets, cookie:3678918925]

    And here is the Output of the ID 42. Which I suspect to be the microphone:

    Code:

    * object.serial = "99"
    * priority.driver = "2009"
    * priority.session = "2009"

    An interesting fact is, it works flawless in Linux Mint 22.1
    What I already tried was deleting the .local/state/wireplumber directory and restartet the system.
    But this had no effect to the problem.
    Hope you can help...
    Thanks in advance.
    Erich

    What make/model is your headset?

      It is a Sennheiser_SC60_for_Lync.

      But well I could fix the problem.
      I used pavucontrol in the configuration tab and set the profile for the webcam to Analog Stereo Input.
      Which seems logical afterwards...
      And I guess with my Lync headset it was also the problem with the wrong profile.
      Sorry for the unnecessary post...
