[RESOLVED] What's with Discover?

22.04. Update icon in tray says there's updates, but can't get it to open and show.
Can't open Discover from K > System > Discover either. Nothing happens.
Other graphical options?
First time this has happened.

update:

Installed Synaptic, ran it, got updates OK.
But Discover still would not open graphically from the tray or from K > System.
Re-booted.
Then Discover works from both the tray and the K-menu.

Just don't know what caused Discover updater icon and Discover menu entry to not work in the first place.
