I've discovered that xdg-open and I are incompossible. It never used to come up on Chrome; now it does. Is there a way to remove, purge, or stop it? Life was better without it.

More details and specifics? xdg-open is what Linux uses to open a url or file in the your preferred program, and is nothing new or even recent. Dialogs usually only pop up when a browser or something can't find an appropriate application top open something. -
I'm getting two pop-ups when trying to search, and I've never seen them before. I've tried researching the 2nd pop-up message, but I've not found anything I can understand. Screenshots annexed.
