[SOLVED] Help needed with custom shortcut

A shortcut that inserts my email address would be nice but I can't see how to do it.
    Any ideas?

      Thanks Snowhog,
It'll be some kind of text field. It's a frequently asked question on many websites.
Alternatively, insert the text into clip board then CTRL+V into the text field.

That's probably going to depend on the text editor, web browser, or word processor's settings. I am sure that Libreoffice Writer you can record a macro to do this sort off thing. I don't thing the desktop itself has such features, but it is possible to script this, unless I am missing something somewhere.

        Something along these lines:

Just using System Settings' shortcut tool to assign a keyboard shortcut pointing to the created script.
