KGpg Displays Tons of Startup Errors

After installing KGpg and attempting to fix some issues I had with keys, I restarted my computer and received these error messages from KGpg on startup:

I have looked online for solutions but I was unable to find any that resolved my issue. Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated.

Whatever this was, is probably causing it.
Can you list what you did?

These seem to be warnings, not errors per se.

/etc/apt/trusted.gpg:1: invalid option
These lines are saying that there is some invalid option on line 1 of the file /etc/apt/trusted.gpg, and all the other lines

gpg: WARNING: unsafe ownership on homedir '/etc/apt'

this seems to indicate that file permissions have been changed, which is not safe.

gpg: failed to create temporary file '/etc/apt/.#lk0x0000561119533390.oc-vorteks-MS-7B86.2874': Permission denied

gpg: keyblock resource '/etc/apt/pubring.kbx': Permission denied

gpg: failed to create temporary file '/etc/apt/.#lk0x0000561119533870.oc-vorteks-MS-7B86.2874': Permission denied

gpg: Fatal: can't create lock for '/etc/apt/trustdb.gpg'

These probably indicate that gpg (via the GUI tool kgog) doesn't have sudo privileges needed --which is to be expected with apt and other system related things.


How to fix?
I don't know. The file /etc/apt/trusted.gpg isn't provided by any packages per se, it must be generated by something, but I don't see what just yet.
But without knowing *exactly* what you did, it probably will be difficult to backtrack out of it.

I was attempting to install a version of wine with potentially outdated commands, and when I saw a different set of errors, I tried to resolve them with this guide: https://askubuntu.com/questions/1407...pt-trusted-gpg but I did not use some of the commands correctly, and I ended up here. I don't really remember any details past that, so would reinstalling Kubuntu be the only way to resolve these errors at this point?

I do not know, It doesn't seem like a reinstall sort of problem. mainly just fixing a key. Check your other post, remove the winehq repo, and we can go from there.

I have a feeling the warnings here are mostly meaningless.
