Issue with emulator and "read only" directories

    Hello, everyone.

I've been having this very frustrating problem with the Sega game emulator Kega Fusion (flatpak) on Kubuntu. Saving states or even the game itself by the usual ways in-game does not work whatsoever, always resulting in an "ERROR" message. I've read online that I must change the save state directory but literally every directory I try is apparently "read only" and cannot be written to and I'm not sure what to do. This is the first time I've experienced this as I've used other distros (non-KDE) with no such issues. I would try to install it via apt and see if that might help but I can't find it anywhere but flathub unfortunately.

Does anyone have any idea what I could do about this?

    Thank you in advance.

Flatpaks by design can and do have restrictions an what things they can access or have write permissions to, this is independent from the distro or desktop environment.
You will need to give the specific Flatpak access to things

Thanks so much for your help, claydoh! I installed the program "Flatseal" via Flathub and allowed it access to a certain folder for saves and it seems to work now! It's peculiar because I've heard this about Flatpak before that it runs in sort of a sandbox type situation but previously on MATE (Mint) I didn't have to do this so I wonder what was going on... Either way, wasn't a big deal to fix with your help so thanks again! Hope you have a great day
