I am running 22.04 but have enabled the jammy backports so I can get the latest software not updated by LTS. Recently Plasma 5.25 (and even more recently, 5.25.1) have been released, but so far have not appeared in Kubuntu backports. Any idea on when it will be available? I already have received Plasma 5.24.5 and Frameworks 5.95.

Normally, LTS releases don't see major version upgrades, even via the Backports PPA
HOWEVER, Jammy will be seeing 5.25 there. No ETA, but I have it on good authority that it is close......Last edited by claydoh; Jun 22, 2022, 11:43 AM. -
5.25.1 is out on KDEneon developers edition as of 2 days ago. Some compiling issues I hear, but it is close.Comment

If you are willing to test and report bugs, then 5.25 can be found in ppa:kubuntu-ppa/backports-landing

How close are we to 5.25 for 22.04? I'm still on 5.24.9 beta, and my Kinetic build is up to 5.25.2 already.Comment
